Stereotypical SOB

Imagine the times when you've realised you misjudged someone and the guilt or feeling of unease you had when you later find that the person was actually really nice. We make mistakes, people make mistakes and as we grow, we learned from them because it was a small error on our part. We see what we want to see and disregard those who do not fit in to our perfect made up world.

However, the one thing one mustn't do is call someone a string of profanities when you don't know who they are. You don't know what they have been through, you've never walked the steps they took to get to where they are now and you don't even know them. That is the one kind of person i abhor.

Yesterday, after a meeting, a group of guys from the club and i left and walked past a bunch of cheerleaders having their training so i said, "thats so nice, a bunch of hot guys and girls training together." Well, suddenly, the President of the club (who were one of the guys i was walking with) said, "they're sl**s," referring to all the girls wearing such short shorts and raising and tying their shirts to an inch or two above the belly button so it's able to cool their bodies a little from all the exercise. That's because i do the same thing too when the weather was too warm to handle.

In my mind, a bunch of colourful vocabulary came to mind but i dare not speak. I'm not that close to him and i'm pretty shy to voice out my opinions to people i don't know so i just kept my mouth shut.

The whole ride home, i was thinking, what the hell is wrong with him? Because my mind went back to a BBQ we all once had and he (the same guy) said that girls in Singapore are so typical, the short shorts and t shirt, and you call that fashion. He seemed to despise those who wear shorts. Well then thats your fucking problem! Why insult us girls? Are you secretly sexist or something???

Firstly, you don't know those hot cheerleaders, how dare you call them s***s! What, just because you know the stereotype that cheerleaders are mean and wear shorts, you can judge them and call them names in any way that pleases you? Please, grow up. Fashion is a form of self expression and confidence, and if wearing that pleases them then let them be. Why butt in and tell other girls or guys even and forcing this sick opinion that girls who wear shorts are not worthy of you. Let me correct you:

ITS NOT THAT THEY ARE NOT WORTHY OF YOU, ITS THAT
YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF THEM.

My class has 2 female cheerleaders and they're really nice and sweet people and the captain, who is also from my class, is a really nice guy. So let go of this stereotype, its sickening to the ears. Or any stereotypes even, it's not healthy, all you're going to do is hurt people's feelings.

  1. What a douchebag slash self centered asshole, how could you bear to even be in his presence? He is the reason good guys like us are named non existent. I like girls the way they look, with confidence
