New School

i've finally enrolled into my new school though i'm quite nervous about going there but i know everything will work out just fine :) what i'm going to do right now would be to find my right CCAs. yes, with an 's'. i'm going to have 2 ccas. one for sports and one for the mind. i'd like to go for photography but also wakeboarding and maybe bowling but i'm not too sure which one i want. the reason i want to have 2 ccas is because 1) to have a good record when i have my internship 2) to have a good record when i want to enrol into a university 3 years from now. i sure hope everything works out fine. i know that i have to know how to balance my studies as well, so all the best Sam!!!

New Phone

I've bought a new phone already and it's nokia C7... i miss my old phone though, can't get used to this new one. It's like trying to adapt to the new 'software' and stuff... Plus, it's a touch phone where my old phone was not. Still, i have to get used to it because it's bound to stick with me for at least 2 more years...

Nokia C7

My handphone keeps hanging so i'm kinda thinking about buying a new phone: Nokia C7
It looks interesting and durable. Also, it's chic :) (to me that is) i've even went online to check it out.
It has 3.5" capacitive touch display, 8 megapixel camera, 3.5G, Wi-Fi and A-GPS enabled. 8GB internal memory and Bluetooth 3.0 which i love so i can exchange stuff with friends. i like iphone but the fact that it does not have bluetooth irks me plus i've been following Nokia ever since, what? 12? about there... and i hate to change my interest of handphone brands because i'm quite comfortable with Nokia already. Unfortunately, it's going to take quite a lot of convincing to get my dad to pay part of the phone for me as the damn thing is $560 and the amount from my savings that i am only able to spend (as the rest of my savings are to buy necessities for poly) is only about $160. sooo, my dad has to help me pay $400. sign....

At the moment...

i won't be watching the social network anytime soon because currently, i'm quite busy. By busy, i mean that i have a lot of books to read... everytime i enter the library, i will ultimately borrow a book or two so it takes a lot of will power to force myself to leave the place without borrowing any book. I have no idea what it is but i just can't help myself. sooo, my bookshelve is filled with books from the library. And that's not all, another thing is that i read incredibly SLOW!!! I can't help it that i read books word for word. Almost everyone i know skims through the pages or only read the important parts and eventually finishes the whole damned book within a friggin day! i can't do that because i can't skim (and even if i skim, i still don't understand what it will be saying). Also, i can't pick out the important parts and will eventually see the whole page as important. Therefore, it will take some time for me to finish my books to finally watch the social network.

Facebook Movie

Yes, as all of you may know, there is a movie about facebook and it's called the social network. and it's getting raves and reviews from all around the world. Plus, countless awards like Academy award winner, Golden globe awards best picture, critics choice award best picture, american cinema editors best editing, writers guild of america best adapted screenplay, Best score, Best Director, Best actor and many more. There are many awards of course, but is it that great? i'm really curious as to why it garnering that many awards... i've heard that the movie had a sad ending. My sister avoids movies that has a ending but i don't mind as long as the movie gives me something to think about in the end. Therefore, i intend to find out myself by checking out the movie... So stay tuned, hahas, for MY review...

Facebook

You know, i wasn't very much interested in facebook at the first place but when all the friends you have appear to have an account of that site, you just have to follow suit.. So, i started my own account early last year (2010) and very soon, i began to understand what's soo very addictive about it. There's photos to uploas and look at, comments to laugh and critisice silently and see whats going on in the life of your friends. But i stopped myself b4 i got too addicted (because i kept uploading photos). Then i only allowed myself to go into facebook a 2-3 times a week to concentrate on my studies. But now that my examinations ended, HELLO ADDICTION...
Then, yesterday, i made my very first post :) i had one 'like' and 2 comments. It wasn't that bad... i thought nobody would care to comment on what i said but i was obviously wrong :)
it's great to comment. but i think very soon, i'll be uploading photos again. there should be like a bracelet that reminds you and stuff to stop going into facebook. and i'm saying that in a totally sarcastic way...

Cupcakes

Today, my sister just finished her examinations and decided to make cupcakes. Now, i'm not trying to take some credit here but i did help with the icing :) And may i say, my designs were very creative.

Recipe
Cupcake ingredients:
- 1cup castor sugar
-100grams/ 3.5 ounces butter
-1 teaspoon vanilla essence
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups self-raising flour
-1 cup milk
 Icing Ingredients:
 - 1 cup icing sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons water
- food colouring
- sprinkles and little sweets

 Directions:
Preheat oven to 200 degrees celcius. Beat sugar and butter together until fluffy. Add vanilla essence and eggs and beat well. Mix in sifted flour and milk. Add more milk if the mixture is too dry. Line cupcake pans with the paper cases, fill each case 3/4 full and bake for about 15 minutes or till golden in colour. Cool on a cake rack.
To make the icing, beat together icing sugar, butter and water. Add a few drops of food colouring. When the cupcakes are completely full, spread the icing with a knife. Decorate with coloured sprinkles or little sweets.

And there you go :) Cupcakes

Chalet at Pasir Ris

My class arranged a 3D2N chalet at Pasir ris and it was sooo cool! it's a bungalow with 4 rooms. each room has it's own toilet. yup... it was super great. But! (there's always a 'but') it was not fun, there's no bonding going on and everyone just do about their own biz... (except for the really extroverted guys and gals) there was actually a previous chalet arranged and it was actually much better. Though the previous chalet only had two rooms, everyone were bonding and it was pleasantly fun to hang out. The guys and gals actually slept on their own rooms but by the 2nd night, everybody were sleeping everywhere around the chalet apartment. some on the sofa, many on the floor, some on the beds. There were bonding here, there, everywhere! Hahas, it was wonderful. however, this chalet had lesser people and lesser the fun for some of us. I guess it doesn't matter whether there are bonding or not. This 2nd chalet unfortunately, made me see that our class may be close but not that close in terms of comfortability. This was because the whole time my 3 friends and i were there, they didn't talk much with the others. It's like they didn't find it comfortable to chat with the rest while i find it okay. like 'family' kind of feeling. This time, the second chalet, our teachers don't have the time to come and visit us cuz it's weekday (THE school day). Sad, there are the pros and cons i do agree... it's great that we don't have to share the same toilet with the guys cuz they can get really messy... i still miss class lessons when we hanged out though, it's much more fun than any chalet.

P.S  the enrolment procedures are done for my admission into my course. Do hope everything goes smoothly.
