long distanced relationships

Life- My point of View

Life's unfair when you think it in a pessismistic way. Thats why i envy the optimists, they're always bubbly. They're always happy. What sick bastards...

Pets

My family have had many pets in the past and they include ducks, rabbits, fishes (lots of them), roosters, hens, hamsters, turtles, tortoises and even worms. These are only what i can remember.

Our last pets were 2 tortoises, one was twice as big as the other. They kinda grew up together. The bigger one 'bullied' the smaller one very often. A few weeks after i found out about that, the smaller one died from some sickness. My brother felt that the bigger tortoise might feel lonely and bought another one. It was about the size the big tortoise was when we first bought it.

A few days later, when i came back home from school, the domestic helper called me to the tank where we keep the tortoises and to my shock, i saw the small tortoise floating on the water with it's head gone. Its head was chewed off but there was no blood or green ooze or anything. A few minutes later, the dead tortoise was properly taken care of.

Back to the MURDER of the small innocent tortoise... OBVIOUSLY, you know who's the culprit. We do feed the 2 tortoise you know. Guess that damned bigger tortoise is territorial...

Anyways, my brother and my dad released the tortoise months ago in this big canal. I'm not so sure it'd survive though. It was rasied domestically so now that it's released, it's fighting with the 'wild' creatures in the water for survival. But who knows? Maybe it's lucky

Beautiful Memories

This was taken about 3 years ago... Lots of fun memories that year was made which i will never in my life, ever forget :)

P.S in case you're wondering, i'm the pretty one :) hahahahaha!!! jk jk

Communication through Technology

I really do not understand. It seems so damned easy to talk to people when you're face to face but when it comes down to texting, IMing or email, it becomes a very difficult task if they're not in any way close to you.

What i am saying is, if the person you are trying to communicate, like for group projects, meetings, clarifying questions etc. people rarely reply, mostly the teenagers! They do not reply! It's like the text or IM or email is optional for you to reply. Especially the other teenagers, they believe that they're smart or the boss or just someone far above you. What has happened to common courtesy of replying a person when he or she talks to you? I'd understand if it's a stalker but what i'm talking about is an acquaintance! an enquiree! or stuff like that!

I know we're not related. I know we're not THAT close. But it is supposed to be that way? Does it have to be this way?! You have to be polite regarding such things! I mean, you're not supposed to just ignore it. You should at least give a short reply!

Is typing a few words and pressing the 'enter' button simply TOO MUCH to ask? IS IT PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE?

School has officially started....

and i am stressed... I have started getting stressed again since yesterday and i'm scared insomnia might come back... I am already trying to get a control of it, starting to do Yoga, exercise a bit and meditate. I've even started listening to songs like 'move along by all american rejects,' 'the climb by miley cyrus,' 'Someone's watching over me by Hilary Duff,' and 'The middle by Jimmy eat world' while on the way to and from school to keep myself calm.

I get notes and notes full of words and i am scared and have no idea how i am going to be able to cram them all inside my head while doing projects and preparing for presentations. I am extremely tensed. Extremely terrified and extremely stressed. I'm scared i'll get depression again. I try and i try but i'm scared. I'm scared i'll get eaten up again. I miss my friends, my secondary school teachers, Mdm Pua and Miss Ang who always supported and believed in me and the positivity i used to have before. Now, i feel like someone who's always negative and depressed. I want to be that me again which i can only see during the holidays, free from the chains of school. I'm no longer bubbly. and i hate it so much because i can't do much about it.

Japan Trip 2008- Anime Centre

Day 3 at the Anime Centre

Before we came here to the Anime Centre, we actually visited the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation. I've took many interesting photos which i'll show on another post. But it'll be much more fun if i went back there again cuz i didn't finish exploring the place.

Now back to the Anime Centre. The place wasn't exceptionally big but still quite spacious. There were brochures near the door so the second we stepped in, i picked up brochures to put inside my Japan Trip photo log and stuff. Many students at the time already started taking brochures and pictures. I had a hard time doing it too because i had to take my turn to take a picture of something or another. Then! i saw my favourite Detective Conan!!! From my observation, i saw that there was a new movie! (but it was about 1 year later that i finally get to watch it, it takes a long time to reach Singapore)

Then i walked around more to see statues lining along the wall. Some are pretty...

Some are cute

Astro Boy!

The famous Doraemon and Pikachu

some macho

and some just plain weird....

So i went around some more to take this 2 pictures which i really wanna know what anime they are cuz it looks very fun to watch

Then on the way out, i saw another Detective Conan's picture. Took a photo and felt like it'd make a really cool postcard :) (if you cut away that extra on the side)

Cat II

I went back to school and expected to see the cat again on the way to the library but of course it wasn't anywhere in sight.. So after about 2 hours in the library and on my way out, i saw the cat in the same area the other day :) YAY!

So we played a bit but it wanted to play a bit and kinda lightly bit and scratched and i backed off. I am extremely scared of claws or sharp teeth so you can't blame me! So i placed my arms on my hips and scolded the cat. Not sure it understood though.. Then i noticed a tap which i went to to wash my hands and wrist. Then i figured i could play water with the cat since it's quite dirty and i expected it to be scared of the water but continued on anyways.

I dripped a droplet of water on the cat and immediately, the cat scrambled off to some nearby bushes. Well, i deserved it so i tried to coax it out and it did and laid down in front of me. Then i noticed a white sack a few steps away, thinking i could get it to be more comfortable sitting on the sack instead of on dirty soil, i carried it towards the cat but then it kinda disappeared on me.

Yes, i was disappointed that it was gone... i tried finding the cat but to no avail... Then, i noticed the newly constructed mini garden nearby so i went there to take pictures instead.

Then i saw the cat!!!

hahaha!!!!

i just love this cat!!

So i sat on a bench near me and it came forward to lay down in front of me

and watched me as i continued taking pictures of the surroundings

Then suddenly, a couple walked near so i moved away from the cat to let them pass by. Apparently, the girl wanted to touch the cat but! :) (hehes...) the cat jumped and scrambled away from her to the side. The couple then just stood there! AWKWARD TENSION... So i walked away to another bench and sat on it and the GUY said 'bye bye' a tad sarcastically cuz so his girl could get near the cat. BUT AGAIN!! she still could not get near the cat as it followed ME!!! How adorable!!! and the girl kind of  'awww so cute...'

yes i totally agree that the cat is adorable...

Then i played with it again before i motioned bye bye. after i was steps away, the couple MOVED RIGHT IN!!! i was kinda jealous... so i lingered there to see if the cat would come for me. Apparently, no.

then i waited at the foodcourt nearby as finally i saw the couple pass me by. i pretended to pack the plactic bag i was holding on into my bag and just as i was about to go back to the cat, the couple U-turned pass me again towards the cat with a plactic bag of french fries!!!!!  grrrrr..... i worried that the cat may not like the potato but what could i do? so i decided to just go back home and come back tommorrow...

Tommorow, i am ready. I have already bought cat food and i'm gonna get some cat toy for it to play with and stay by it's side for more than the few minutes i had with it the last 2 encounters.

GAME ON

Cat

Yesterday, i went to school to return a few cds i borrowed and on the way out of the building, i saw a cat. Darkish brown with a little light stripes. It was sooo cute. It meow-ed a lot so i kind of didn't want it to starve so i told the cat to stay at this pillar. With lots of motioning signs and stuff and quickly ran to the Macdonalds which was like 20 steps away. Bought a Mc Chicken and quickly ran back to the cat. I was hoping the cat understood me and stayed where it was. and imagine my surprise when it was still there! SOOOO CUTE. but it was hiding behind the pillar cuz it was afraid of other people. but it was still at the pillar where i told the cat to stay. :)))) i was so infatuated with it:)

So i ran to a nearby dry ground (cuz there was a slight drizzle at the time) and unwrapped the burger. took the patty out and break it in smaller pieces for the cat while putting the buns away. Cuz i've heard before from a schoolmate that if a cat eats bread, it will vomit.

I watched it eat and there was one moment when a man in his early-thirties walked by and the cat stopped eating to hide behind me. SOOOO CUTE!!!!

After the cat finished eating, i wanted to give it some water to drink so poured some in front of it but the cat kept circling and leaning against my legs. How can i just leave it? So i stayed by its side a while more. Patting, scratching, smoothing and rubbing the cat.

Then when it was lying on the floor, looking like it was sleeping, i started to make a move but it suddenly stood up to look at me. So of course i decided to stay a few minutes more. I went to lean against a pillar and the cat came to stand at my left. That minute i felt like Kango from Inuyasha (A Japanese Anime) who has a demon cat always at it's side.

Now back to reality. It then went around my left foot to finally rest on it and went to SLEEP! how adorable :)

i could not believe how cute it was! deciding that i would let it sleep awhile, i took out my book to read but not even finishing one page, i felt uncomfortable leaning against the pillar while standing. so i tried to get my left foot out but of course it was useless. finally, i slowly woke the cat up to lift my foot. I patted etc. it a few more times before i turned to go. When i was a few steps away, i turned to say bye bye but suddenly a woman came up behind me. She had some sort of handkerchief with her that apparently aroused interest in the cat and just like that, the cat jumped up and down to follow the woman with the stupid handkerchief just to play with it.

I was left there standing like a doofus watching the cat slowly disappear from my sight round a corner. I was speechless!!!! so i walked away... but then i turned around just to see if the cat would come back. So went back to turn around that corner to see that the cat was still following that old hag with the stupid cloth, AND IT WAS. So there you go. You feed it and caress it and stuff and THIS is how it pays you back!... but i still like the cat though... Sooo adorable...

The Virgo Girl

Virgo, the perfectionist and hygiene sign of all the 12 signs. They are organised, have a sense of duty and routine. And also very hygienic.

Zodiac Series - Virgo   The Virgo sign

Virgo is associated with a number of goddesses in greek mythology like Athena, Hygieia (Goddess of health, cleanliness and sanitation) and virgin daughter of Zeus.

Virgos are very careful, meticulous to be exact. Are accurate, analytical and discriminative and more or less, critical of flaws they find in others.Prefer order to chaos, happier when in service and caring.

The young ones:
  • Are intelligent
  • Copies what their elders do
  • Shy
  • Need sensitive encouragement to develop
  • Are slow to make friends
The adult Virgo:
  • Discipline is important
  • Very focused on teaching the youngsters life skills
  • The Virgo woman will be gentle, but firm with children
  • The Virgo father will involve himself in children's education

The Virgo Girl/Woman:

A Virgo woman can be described as charming, witty, realistic, honest, organized, dedicated, helpful, gentle and perfectionist. These are some of the strong points of a Virgo woman.

The Virgo girl has a lot of determination and can do anything once she's set her mind on them. This girl is shy and though timid at first, gently opens up to close friends. She does not like to impose on others and will always ask politely if she needs something. She is practical when presented with a challenge and not afraid to take life by the horns. She can also be very stubborn, which is a legacy of her strong will and determination to get things done.

It takes her a bit of time to relax around people. She feels uneasy around boisterous and tactless people, because they are her exact opposites. When they feel comfortable in another’s presence, they are confident about expressing their own ideas and opinions.

The Virgo woman love to serve humanity and is genuinely pleased if she can be of help. Tasks assigned to her are carried out with practicality and efficiency. The decisions she makes are based on fact rather than intuition.

Even though a Virgo woman is very critical, she will not take criticism very nicely. It never works the other way round for her. The reason for this is that she is as aware of her own imperfections as she is of yours. Thus, she doesn't need you to remind her of her own shortcomings every now and then. Instead of fretting over her perfectionism, you should feel blessed to have such a charming female who never makes your house look like a garbage dump. Your toast will never get burnt and your coffee will always taste just perfect. She has a witty side too and when she laughs, it seems like the ringing of little bells, doesn't it!

She is very sensitive and her feelings are pretty fragile. One of the challenges is being highly strung. Mercury rules her nerves and tension can sometimes get the better of her. Take care that your mood swings don’t throw you out of balance. A good way to manage stress is talking about how you feel.

Mercury gifts the Virgo woman with the knowledge to solve problems, as well as a rare flash of intuitive wisdom that serves to uplift those in need.

The angry Virgo Woman:

She will not break the new, expensive vase when she is upset. It is better to leave her alone for sometime and she will cool again. If the fault is yours, admit that you are wrong and say it while handing her the flowers. Don't even try to argue, or she will lose her temper again.

For the Guys:

For a Virgo woman, romance has a very special meaning in life. She tends to find a person having equal or higher intellectual caliber. If she finds ‘Mr. Right’, she likes to develop a strong relationship with him.

The Virgo girl's standards are high. Making them fall in love will require total perfection from you, even though they may fall short in that arena. Major turn-ons for the Virgo Gals are intelligent conversations and street-smartness in a guy. You'll impress her by speaking intelligently, with good grammar. She's not one to agree just to stroke your ego. If you prove over time that you're mentally competent, her respect for your opinion will shine through. She abhors guys who are lazy or apathetic types. It is advisable that you mind your manners. If you are rude, speak poorly, use abusive language and dress sloppily she will drop you like a hot potato. It's better to brush up your vocabulary too.

Keep yourself well groomed and neat. If she's coming over to your home, make sure there are no dirty clothes lying around as well as no dust and dirt. A Virgo woman is considered to be a neat freak and deeply admires a man that pays close attention to his personal care.

Make an impression. A Virgo woman enjoys an occasional surprise and thinks highly of those who take the time out to plan a thoughtful, lovely evening, such as surprising her with movie tickets or an opera event.

Have respect for her intelligence, most virgos are intelligent who are ruled by the heads rather than their hearts.Never underestimate how smart a Virgo female is or how much thought she will put into anything. If you treat her as if she isn't bright, you have lost the chance to attract her. A Virgo love match depends on mutual respect based on practicality, intelligence and understanding.

Last but not least, be on time. A Virgo woman finds it difficult to deal with a man that is constantly late;. She will take your lateness as a personal hint that you are not serious and cannot follow through with a commitment.

Once you've gotten her, the purity of her own concept of the relationship reigns supreme over all the pieces of legal paper in the world. She's the one woman in the zodiac who can be deadly practical and divinely romantic at the same time. There's a white heat to Virgo love, once it's ignited, that can put the passions of other Sun signs to shame by its very intensity and singleness of purpose. Igniting it may take some time, however.

She will be completely devoted and loyal to you in a relationship. Still, if it doesn't seems to be working, she will severe all the ties and become as cold as the North Pole. When they fall in love, they show such extreme passion and intensity that only few other women can. You will have a partner who pays you back in lifelong dividends of love, loyalty and happiness.

Japan Trip 2008- Special Lunch

Day 5- Lunchtime

On day 5, during lunch time, we were given money to buy our own lunch called Bento. It is a type of lunch box or something. The bento i chose had sushi :) Then we went under the hot sun to have our lunch! but we had a great view. The place where we had lunch is called Yamashita. We had to walk very fast to get our bentos. I've no idea why our teacher had to move so fast. Seriously, teachers have some management issues...

the great scenery we had while eating our lunch!

After having our lunch, we saw a man sitting under a tree drawing something

here's the zoomed in picture of the drawing/sketch

this is the what he was drawing. though i did not capture the buildings part

the fountain in the background :)

Overall, it was one of the best lunch i've had

Japan Trip 2008- Tsukiji Market

There was a school trip to Japan in 2008 for the secondary 3 students. Only 30 selected students were to go and i was one of the lucky ones. So, i thought maybe i can share some of the photos on the blog :)

In the Japan trip, my friends, Wee Ting, Zhi yi and Shu yun, were also with me in the school trip. There were around 6 or 7 teachers coming along with us. Supervision, discipline and stuff. Some teachers on the other hand, signed up for the trip. Wee Ting and Zhi yi were currently in the same class as me while Shu Yun was my classmate and good friend the year before. Unfortunately, there's now some distance between Wee Ting and i, while Zhi Yi and i are no longer friends. As for Shu Yun, she's still a good friend but we've not contacted each other for a long time now since she'd graduated. Time can change a lot in people, i guess. but during the Japan trip we were still good friends. At least i'll still have the memories :)

ANYWAYS, away from that depressing topic.. For this and some more posts, i will be sharing some photos i took while in Japan for the nine days. Hope you like them :)

i will jump on different days, so don't get confused in the posts

4th Day- Tsukiji Market

Tsukiji Market is part of the tokyo Metropolitan Central wholesale market where fresh and high quality products are bring traded, abiding rules and regulations. It is a large market for fish, fruit and vegetables in central- along with other products. Tsukiji Market is best known as one of thr world's largest fish markets. It handles more than 400 different types of seafood ranging from the tiny sardines to 300kg tuna, from cheap seaweed to the most expensive caviar. Tsukiji handles over 2000 metric tons of seafood per day in Tokyo.

The market starts as early as 5.30am in Tsukiji, an auction for tuna which has been numbered with food colouring begins. During the early morning hours, the market is very busy with professional buyers, sellers etc. So our group could not enter before 9.00am. But i still remember that i had to wake up so early in the morning to go on our bus and slept the journey there...

On arriving, the ground was full of puddles of water and i had to fold my jeans 3/4 to prevent any smelly liquid from getting in contact with it. I hate markets since the day i ever stepped into a market so Tsukiji was of course, no exception. But the place was very interesting, full of surprises. I'd have liked the place more if not for the smell and the puddles of market water. Yes, i call them market water as they're smelly. Anyways...

the signs i took while on the bus off to another place, it's great that i managed to take this picture other than the seafood. I wish i can remember everything from the trip :) Don't ever want to forget them:)

My teacher said that there was an auction inside, this shot was taken some feet away because we're not allowed to go in. This is a zoomed in shot of course.

Big right? not sure what type of fish this is though... I remembered that a man was using some sort of sawing equipment to cut the fish.

some mussels...

now the next picture is one of my faves though many would disagree.. I love the shot though i would never in my life eat this sort of thing
nice bloody shot hah? hahhahahahahaahahilkdashjlgja!!!!!!!
