Movies that'll give you the feels

Many times, movies have the ability to make people laugh and cry, drawing our inner emotions and providing a safe release of feelings that have been bottled up inside us. Everyone can probably recall or name a movie or two that really made them think, or cry or laugh until their own problems seem lighter.

The topic at hand is sad movies/tear-jerking movies. People enjoy watching them because they deliver what seems to be an unlikely benefit, making people happier in the short run. Research have found that watching a tragedy movie causes people to think about their own relationships, which in turn boosts their life happiness. The result was that what seems like a negative experience-watching a sad story- made people happier by bringing attention to some positive aspects in their own lives.

'Tragic stories often focuses on themes of eternal love and this leads to viewers thinking about their loved ones and count their blessings," said Silvia Knobloch-Westerwick from Ohio State University.

"Tragedies don't boost life happiness by making viewers thinkmore about themselves. They appeal to people because they help them to appreciate their own relationships more,” she said.

But why would people have to get sad by watching a tragedy to feel grateful about relationships in their own lives?

Knobloch-Westerwick said this fits with research in psychology that suggests negative moods make people more thoughtful.
“Positive emotions are generally a signal that everything is fine, you don’t have to worry, you don’t have to think about issues in your life,” she said.

“But negative emotions, like sadness, make you think more critically about your situation. So seeing a tragic movie about star-crossed lovers may make you sad, but that will cause you to think more about your own close relationships and appreciate them more.”

Research has also shown that relationships are generally the major source of happiness in our lives, so it is no surprise that thinking about your loved ones would make you happier, she said.

“Tragedies bring to mind close relationships, which makes us happy.”

I for one, at the moment, love sad movies. They really make me feel better after a long mind exhausting day. These movies enlightens me and i'd like to share them with you. Here are must watch enlightening/touching movies.

“This is me.’" He handed her the precious scrap of paper. ‘Call me or I’ll call you, but one of us will call, yes? What I mean is it’s not a competition. You don’t lose if you phone first”

“Cherish your friends, stay true to your principles, live passionately and fully and well. Experience new things. Love and be loved, if you ever get the chance”

2. P.S I love you

P.S. I Love You is a 2007 American drama film directed by Richard LaGravenese. The screenplay by LaGravenese and Steven Rogers is based on the 2004 novel of the same name by Cecelia Ahern.

Holly and Gerry are a married couple who live on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. They are deeply in love, a normal couple that fight occasionally. However, Gerry dies suddenly of a brain tumor which leads to a downward spiral of Holly's life.

On her 30th birthday, a still distraught Holly receives a cake. In it, a message from Gerry...

Gerry Kennedy: What do you want? I know what I want, cause I'm holding it in my hands. You.

Gerry Kennedy: [calms Holly] Every morning I still wake up and the first thing I want to do is to see your face.

Gerry Kennedy: Dear Holly, I don't have much time. I don't mean literally, I mean you're out buying ice cream and you'll be home soon. But I have a feeling this is the last letter, because there is only one thing left to tell you. It isn't to go down memory lane or make you buy a lamp, you can take care of yourself without any help from me. It's to tell you how much you move me, how you changed me. You made me a man, by loving me Holly. And for that, I am eternally grateful... literally. If you can promise me anything, promise me that whenever you're sad, or unsure, or you lose complete faith, that you'll try to see yourself through my eyes. Thank you for the honor of being my wife. I'm a man with no regrets. How lucky am I. You made my life, Holly. But I'm just one chapter in yours. There'll be more. I promise. So here it comes, the big one. Don't be afraid to fall in love again. Watch out for that signal, when life as you know it ends. P.S. I will always love you

Patricia: So now, all alone or not, you gotta walk ahead. Thing to remember is if we're all alone, then we're all together in that too.

3. The Last Song

The Last Song is a 2010 American coming of age romantic drama film developed alongside Nicholas Sparks' novel by the same name. The film was directed by Julie Anne Robinson in her feature film directorial debut and co-written by Sparks and Jeff Van Wie. The Last Song stars Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth, and Greg Kinnear.

The story follows a troubled teenager, Veronica "Ronnie" Miller (Miley Cyrus) who is sent to a Southern beach town for the summer to stay with her father. Through their mutual love of music, the estranged duo learns to reconnect. During the summer, she also falls in love the handsome and popular Will Blakelee (Liam Hemsworth) whose introduction involves crashing into her in a volleyball match and accidentally spilling Ronnie's milkshake on her.

The Last Song was released on Wednesday, March 31, 2010. The film performed well for a Wednesday release, garnering $5,125,103 on approximately 3,300 screens at 2,673 theaters, for an average of $1,917 per theater, and topping the daily box office. It placed first at the weekend box office, making $36,203,000. Over the course of its five day opening, the film earned $65,590,000. As of July 15, 2010 the film had made $89,041,656 worldwide.

Book Descriptor:
Seventeen year-old Veronica “Ronnie” Miller’s life was turned upside-down when her parents divorced and her father moved from New York City to Wilmington, North Carolina. Three years later, she remains angry and alienated from her parents, especially her father… until her mother decides it would be in everyone’s best interest if she spent the summer in Wilmington with him. Ronnie’s father, a former concert pianist and teacher, is living a quiet life in the beach town, immersed in creating a work of art that will become the centerpiece of a local church. The tale that unfolds is an unforgettable story about love in its myriad forms – first love, the love between parents and children – that demonstrates, as only a Nicholas Sparks novel can, the many ways that deeply felt relationships can break our hearts… and heal them.

Jonah Miller: Mom says its because she has PMS.
Steve Miller: Do you even know what PMS is, Jonah ?
Jonah Miller: Of course I do dad, I'm not a little kid anymore. It's the Pissed At Men Syndrome.

Will Blakelee: Evening!
[he puts his chair on the sand. Then takes out a lantern]
Veronica 'Ronnie' Miller: Are ya movin' in?
Will Blakelee: Hey, if I wanna get some sleep, I'm gonna need something to scare off the racoons. They don't like bright lights or music.
[pulls out a radio and turns it on]
Veronica 'Ronnie' Miller: You're planning to sleep here?
Will Blakelee: Well, the truth is, the town sorta got together and we decided we just couldn't take another one of your bad hair days.
Veronica 'Ronnie' Miller: [she hits him with her book repeatedly] What's the matter with you?
Jonah Miller: [from the porch] This doesn't look good. You're not okay with this, are you?
Steve Miller: [shakes his head 'no']
Jonah Miller: Then we better maintain visual contact.
Steve Miller: [nods his head 'yes']

Steve Miller: [in letter to Ronnie] Love is fragile. And we're not always its best caretakers. We just muddle through and do the best we can. And hope this fragile thing survives against all odds.

4. Koizora, Sky of Love
Koizora (恋空 Koizora, lit: Sky of Love) is a 2007 film based on a cell phone novel of the same name by Mika. The film is directed by Natsuki Imai and it stars Yui Aragaki and Haruma Miura.

The caller turns out to be Hiro, a delinquent-like boy that Mika is initially afraid of but ends up falling in love with. However, there are many trials and tribulations ahead for them to be together.

Hiro: Where do humans go after they die?
Mika: Heaven.
Hiro: I want to be the sky. So I always know where you are.
Mika: Like a stalker.
[Hiro amused and smiles]
Mika: Clear skies will mean you are happy. Rain will mean you're crying. Sunset means you are embarrassed. Night will mean you are gently holding me.

Hiro: Mika... smile.

5. A Walk to Remember

A Walk to Remember is a 2002 American romance film based on the 1999 romance novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks. The film stars Shane West and Mandy Moore, was directed by Adam Shankman, and produced by Denise Di Novi and Hunt Lowry for Warner Bros. The novel is set in the 1950s while the film is set in 1998.

When a prank on fellow high-school student Clay Gaphardt goes wrong, popular but rebellious Landon Carter (Shane West) is threatened with expulsion. His punishment is mandatory participation in various after-school activities, such as the drama club, where he is forced to interact with quiet, kind and bookish Jamie Sullivan (Mandy Moore), a girl he has known for many years but to whom he has rarely ever spoken. Their differing social statures leave them worlds apart, despite their close physical proximity.

At first, Landon was only using Jamie for help in the school play and treats her coldly when his friends are around but as he spends more and more time with her, he is surprised to find she is far from the person he thought she was and begins to question whom he really wants to impress.

Book Descriptor:
Every April, when the wind blows from the sea and mingles with the scent of lilacs, Landon Carter remembers his last year at Beaufort High. It was 1958, and Landon had already dated a girl or two. He even swore that he had once been in love. Certainly the last person in town he thought he'd fall for was Jamie Sullivan, the daughter of the town's Baptist minister. A quiet girl who always carried a Bible with her schoolbooks, Jamie seemed content living in a world apart from the other teens. She took care of her widowed father, rescued hurt animals, and helped out at the local orphanage. No boy had ever asked her out. Landon would never have dreamed of it. Then a twist of fate made Jamie his partner for the homecoming dance, and Landon Carter's life would never be the same. Being with Jamie would show him the depths of the human heart and lead him to a decision so stunning it would send him irrevocably on the road to manhood...

Landon: Do you love me?
[she nods]
Landon: Will you do something for me, then?
Jamie: [smiles] Anything.
Landon: Will you marry me?
[Jamie smiles and kisses him]

Jamie: Are you trying to seduce me?
Landon: Why? Are you seducible?

Landon: I'm sorry she never got her miracle.
Reverend Sullivan: She did. It was you.

Landon: Our love is like the wind... I can't see it, but I sure can feel it.

Sometimes I wonder if I'll love someone so much that my heart wrenches every time I think of him. I've been watching 'My Love who came from the Stars' and have been so mesmerised by Kim Soo Hyun that I stopped watching it for the time being because my admiration and adoration for him has became too much to handle.

For god's sake, I was even dreaming about him 2 nights in a row! The first dream, I was trying to get him to fall in love with me in any way possible and in the second dream, we were in a relationship <3

I realised that this foolishness needed to stop because in the real world, we would never meet. It was so depressing for me that he'll never be mine that I really had to stop watching the show. This is the first time a freaking TV character made me feel this way. No wonder he has taken Asia by storm!

I think once I've controlled myself, I would be able to continue the drama.

So for now, Kim Soo Hyun, get out of my mind! I love you too much!

Diabolik Lovers

Currently, i'm watching this awesome new anime called 'Diabolik Lovers.' It's about this girl (who is kinda plain looking compared to other female leads of other anime dramas) who stumbles upon the home/castle of vampire brothers. She was apparently sent there by her father who turned out to not be related to her by blood.

Soon, each guy starts to sink their teeth into her because she smells so delectable and they can't seem to resist themselves. The mystery starts to begin when some new and mysterious guy says she is about to be 'awakened.'

Of all the brothers, my favourite is Shuu. He is soo handsome and cool and every time he comes onto my computer screen, I feel like touching and running my fingers through his tousled hair. He's the man for me if he ever existed.

HOW CAN YOU SAY NO TO THIS?

Revenge

I love Revenge!!! I've been watching it since its first broadcast when i first saw the trailer as well as the short promo back during a school trip to Vietnam during March of 2012, it was airing in this channel called Starworld i think. The trailer had me curious as to what it was about and when i watched the first episode, i was gripped right from the beginning. So when i came back to Singapore, i loyally followed the show till its current season 2 and just can't wait for the next episode to air!!!!  The commercial said that they were about to drop a bombshell in the last freaking 5 minutes like WTF?? Do they expect us to wait patiently until the following episode comes? Oh well, we viewers can't really complain much since it's AN AWESOME SHOW!

(Revenge season 2 episode 16, referring to hunting for the tech genius, Falcon)

Sue's (The Middle) Great Speech on 'The Smile'

Sue Heck had to research on a hypothesis in this episode so she went with 'Is Smiling Contagious,' and this is what she wrote at the end of the episode.

Is smiling contagious? After many attempts with multiple subjects including family, friends, or my lobster waitress and an unfriendly baby, i unfortunately, was unable to prove my hypothesis. However, like many scientists before me, i refuse to admit defeat. It took Einstein 10 years to prove E=Mc (square) and if it takes me that long to prove smiling is contagious then i am up for the challenge. For i believe there are some things that defy logic.

Brick: No way! An iPad?? And it's the one from the fire?
Frankie: oh.. (looking at Mike) this is better than being a good parent *smiles*

French anotomist Duchenne wrote that joys are expressed by the face by contraction of the muscles but it can only be put in play by the sweet emotions of the soul.

Axl: I'm gonna miss you guys
(referring to all 3 of them having to go their separate ways after high school)
Darrin: Okay, i'm just going to say it. I love you.
Sean and Axl: Augghh!
Axl: oh okay! Darrin just made it weird!
Darrin: I'm sorry, i'm very emotional right now *starts tearing up*
Axl: Dude come on man! *smiles and lightly punches each other*

And Duchenne, had a whole smile named after him! Think of the smiles over the years that have inspired a whole world to happiness, Mona Lisa's, Justin Bieber's.. some might laugh at me, i know, just as they laughed at John Burton. He was told in high school that he would never be a scientist, he just won the noble prize. I guess it just proves that being dismissed by people who think they know better, is not an obstacle to winning a noble prize. So i will continue with my research one smile at a time until i prove that smiling is contagious, cause i don't wanna live in a world where it isn't.

Murder on the Orient Express

Recently, i've been getting around to reading literary classics like Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express. Truth be told, i've never read a mystery novel in my life before Agatha Christie. One time, i tried to read this one mystery novel i believe by Heather Graham, it wasn't at all suspenseful and i think, most likely, after a chapter or two, i stopped reading and didn't even bother to check who was the culprit in the end.

So months ago, my sister bought an Agatha Christie book called And then there were None from a book sale. The book cover had a picture of this weird looking fish and the pages had already turned yellow with time. It wasn't appealing to me and so, there wasn't enough motivation for me to continue reading after a page or two. (for me, sadly, a nice looking cover is the deal breaker) Even though my sister told me that it was a fantastic book... and so, just to get her to stop talking about the book, i asked her to tell me who the murderer was. I have regretted that till this day, It was a foolish move. Because right now, i so want to read it with the right amount of suspense one should have when they read a good book. But now, i know the effing ending. No use of word in this world could define the feeling i have right now, i ruined the ending of one of the most popular mystery books of all time. Damn you ugly looking fish covered book.

IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT I LITERALLY JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER.

Anyways, the reason why i feel this way is because of Murder on the Orient Express. The first mystery novel i've ever read. This is what sparked me to start reading the rest of Agatha Christie's books, i mean ALL of it, starting first with Hercule Poirot's books. Before i actually started reading it though, i went to find out who this Agatha Christie was. I know i know, HOW THE HELL CAN YOU NOT KNOW WHO AGATHA CHRISTIE IS??? Well, deal with it, i'm just 19, i've still got more to learn.

And so i watched Brainpop, this interactive and educational website that makes animated videos about everything a kid or even an adult can learn about like Technology to World History to Literature. One video particularly, talked about Agatha Christie and after watching it, somehow or another, i decided that i wanted to give one of her books a try, which was, as you know it, Murder on the Orient Express.

One interesting fact i learned about Agatha Christie was that in December 3rd 1926, Christie's husband told her that he was having an affair with another woman and demanded a divorce. After her husband went off to be with his mistress, Agatha disappeared. But not before sending a letter to the police that she was afraid for her life. Her car was later found in a chalk pit in Newlands Corner, England. And Christie was missing. In the car were just a suitcase and some clothes. The police searched the area but with no results... 2 weeks later, Christie was found in hotel in the town of Harrogate, Yorkshire. She claimed to be suffering from Amnesia...

Spooky isn't it? But i think it was just a stunt she played to get more people to read her books. It worked for me though :)

Okay, moving on! For those who don't know what Murder on the Orient Express is, let me explain it to you and those of you who know, please, bear with me for a while :)

In this book, the plot is as follows...
Just after midnight, the famous Orient Express is stopped in its tracks by a snowdrift. By morning, the millionaire Samuel Rachett lies dead in his compartment, stabbed a dozen times, his door locked from the inside. One of his fellow passengers must be the murderer.

Isolated by the storm and with a killer in their midst, detective Hercule Poirot must find the killer amongst a dozen of the dead man's enemies, before the murderer decides to strike again...

The plot alone, should give you the chills, if not, the ending surely will. I will not divulge any more information, you should read it for yourself if you have not started on it. It's going to be the best greatest MOST CORRECT decision you will EVER make.

And so, i'll only say that the big reveal made my jaws drop. It is true. Unconsciously even. Heck it might have been a few minutes until i actually realised my mouth my gaping. This, i have to say, is one of the best human creation ever made. A piece of literary art.

Relaxed in the face of exam

5 days before an important Law exam, i started watching a Korean Drama that was aired in 2010. I was hooked right from the beginning and that particular drama is called 'Sungkyunwan Scandal'

IT WAS AWESOME

Although i shouldn't have started watching it before my exam finished, especially all the way till the end, i couldn't help myself! You know when you watch a TV show or start reading a book, you are just compelled by some unknown desire and force to continue doing so until you reach the last episode or page and find out what happened in the end. That was just what happened to me. You see, my exam was yesterday, on Monday and my previous paper was on a Friday. On Friday, i saw on the web this drama and that it was a hit so i searched everywhere on the internet for the first episode, halfway through, it always lagged or there were some problems. I think it must have been due to the fact that it was an almost 3 years old drama. Anyways, i was so frustrated that i just bought the DVD from a cd store instead in the shopping mall a 5 minute walk away.

AND I BOUGHT IT!!!!

Isn't it pretty??? Especially the material they used for the CD case cover, it's some kind of paper material that made it looked so elegant and chic. I love it.

And so on Friday all the way till Sunday i watched the show and mind you, i was supposed to study for 4 long topics for the exam but only studied one up till Sunday because my time was occupied with this drama. On Monday, which was after i finished watching this show, i told myself that i was screwed cuz i had so many things to study for which i haven't touched on yet and there was only 2 days and a half left till the exam. So from Monday all the way till yesterday 4PM, i was stressed out to the max and kept chiding myself that i should've started studying earlier.

There were like 2 sides of me battling each other:
You see! You should have started studying earlier you stupid fucking idiot!
BUT WASNT THE SHOW JUST FANTASTIC? THE ENDING WAS LIKE OH. MY. GOD.
STILL, do you know how stressed it has made you feel now!
Yoochun~ Yoochun~ Yoochun~ Yoochun~ Yoochun~
ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?????
Oh gosh, why is he so so cute?

In the end, i managed to pull through and hopefully, i'll get an A for law. So to you reading this post of mine, start watching it because this drama will blow your mind and wish so much that there was a season 2. But by the looks of the last episode, it doesn't seem like there's gonna be a season 2. Still, a girl can hope.

PLOT
This drama is set in Sungkyunkwan University in the late Joseon era during the reign of King Jeongjo and revolves around the exploits and love stories of four youths.

When her younger brother's illness worsens and her family was in the danger of being evicted from their own house for money, Kim Yoon Hee enters the school under his name disguised as a boy in her desperation to support him. There, she becomes friends with the intelligent and upright Lee Sun Joon, playboy Goo Yong Ha and the rebellious Moon Jaw Shin.

I really enjoyed it and it has been the best Korean drama i've watched in a long time with a very satisfying ending. It has everything from romance to action to comedy and is a tear jerker. It will make you laugh and cry at the same time, a definite must watch.

Here is one of my favourite moments when Yoon Hee leaned on Sun Joon's broad manly shoulder. *heart fluttering*

I LOVE YOU MICKY YOOCHUN/SUN JOON!!!

Songs about Life and Determination

Over the years, i've had my share of stress, hardship and a period of depression mostly due to the fact that i wanted to do really well for my grades. I've constantly gotten As but that wasn't enough, sort of that kind of obsessed thing. Until one day, i realised i had mild depression which was developing worse. I couldn't sleep at night, constantly waking up at the middle of the night with my heart racing then crying to myself and asking god to please let me be able to sleep at night. I also had periods of anxiety, i'd cry for no specific reason out of nowhere etc etc etc. It was too much and my best friend told me to seek help from the school counsellor who has since helped me open my eyes a little. Now, i'm sort of in a better place, mentally, that i no longer need a counsellor and even though i still am surrounded by those same stresses, surprisingly, i'm holding it extremely well that i rarely listen to my playlist until when i need to restore my faith in life.

So through my dark period, i listened to a specific number of songs to keep me strong, I love all of these beautiful songs and the singers, they helped me stay strong when i was at my weakest. Thank you, i am eternally grateful and now, i want to share this playlist, for those of you searching for songs to cope with your period of uncertainty. . And to you who is reading this and trying hard to survive in this world, I've been there and i understand so please stay strong because it's not going to rain forever, everything is going to be okay :)

Sparks fan

Years ago, i saw a trailer of 'A Walk to Remember' on the TV and watched the movie with my sister, never expecting it to be a tear-jerking one. Mandy Moore's character even said something about believing in miracles so i thought that maybe she'd survive in the end and let myself be captured by the wonder that is this movie. What i did not expect though was her dying and leaving my sis and i speechless. I love the movie now (i didn't years ago cuz it mad me sad, what can you expect from a barely 13 year old girl who believed in fairy tales???) but my sis still don't.

Then, the next movie that i thought was real nice was the Last Song and really liked it. Especially Miley Cyrus who played the character real well, i was gripped from the beginning.
Then recently, i saw the trailer of The Lucky One starring Zac Efron and i was intrigued. I loved the idea of finding this girl you barely know and see how things go from there. It's just so interesting. So after much contemplation, i bought the book and only realised then that it was by Nicholas Sparks. I've long ago heard the name and i know he's widely known but i never bothered to check him out on the internet. Ergo, i did.

Wikipedia and he's official website was my main source of information. I was surprised really! He wrote A walk to remember and the last song. Both one of my fav movies. I was speechless at the fact that most of the books he wrote are made into movies, i was astounded by the fact that even his latest book is in the process of turning into a movie. Then i saw in his acknowledgements that he said he still loves his wife the way he did before he proposed and the whole time, i was thinking awwwwwwww........ and turned to my sis, 'I wish i'm his wife!'

He and his wife donated near to 10million to start a private school and so many other charitable work. I can't even imagine how much he earns! So since i cannot imagine, i checked the net. How much is Nicholas Sparks worth? less than a millisecond later with 1,950,000 results and clicking on the first hyperlink, 30 Million.

My Girl Korean Drama

My Girl is a korean drama that aired originally in Korea in 2005 and gained a lot of popularity to be ranked among the top 20 TV shows. Lee Da Hae (top picture, 2nd from left) won the 2006 SBS Drama Awards for one of the top 10 stars as well as 2005 SBS Drama Awards for an Excellence Award- Drama Special, both for her work in Green Rose and My Girl.

Park Si-yeon also recieved an award for her work in My Girl in 2006's SBS Newcomer Award.

Gong Chan (Lee Dong Wook) is searching for his long lost cousin to get his grandfather back on his feet again and in the process meets the lively and beautiful Yoo Rin (Lee Da Hae). However, their encounter was not love at first sight but rather, distaste. He finds out that she has similar features to his missing cousin as well as a knack for lying and asks Yoo Rin to lie about being his long missing cousin until he can find his real cousin.

She agrees after much persuasion and each soon develop feelings for each other which gets in the way of their plans. Gong Chan's friend, Jung Woo (Lee Jun ki) falls for Yoo Rin while Gong Chan's ex-girlfriend, Seo Hyun (Park Si Yeon), a pro tennis player, returns to Korea and tries to win him back. Will the two ever tell each other how they feel? Will Gong Chan ever find his real cousin?

Although the starting of the show was interesting and deadly humourous, the plot started to falter towards the end. It seemed like the writers were so happily creating problems for the couple that they forgot to leave enough screen time for them to reconcile those said problems properly. Everything towards the end was in a rush and left little for the supporting characters to develop. Especially Park Si Yeon's character who practically does the same thing throughout the whole story- trying to separate the two as well as Lee Jun Ki's character who never received a proper ending.

Fortunately, the drama was peppered with lots of jokes and humour that kept viewers hungry for more as well as the antics of the female lead that'll leave you sprawling on the floor, roaring with laughter. The chemistry was not quite there but there is still fantastic rapport between the two as well as the female lead and Lee Jun Ki's character. Lee Jun Ki's character is charming, suave, witty and romantic while the female antagonist (Park Si Yeon) who is fantastic at her role will make you really hate her.

Romance: 8/10
Chemistry: 6/10
Comedy: 9/10
Antagonists: 10/10
Story Plot: 7/10

Result: 8/10

My Comments: [SPOILER]
Well, if i were the cute female lead, i'd choose Lee Jun Ki. Come on! He's so damned romamtic (i'm not saying the other guy is too but come on! He did so much more for her compared to THE OTHER GUY) I also hate the grandfather who was so stuck to his ways that he was blinded by the fact that he was hurting his grandson from the inside out and it was sooooo ridiculous the way they had the grandfather reconcile his grandson and the girl. what did he say? You can't throw away love blah blah blah when just what? 30 minutes ago, you were trying to make her leave the guy and saying 'Why are you separating my grandson from me??!' (What the Friggin hell ) The story was great but the ending was not really fufilling

Glee Cast - Smooth Criminal

They make such a CUTE couple... Too bad their characters in GLEE don't match >.<

The cello guys are fantastic!!!

GLEE - Stereo Hearts

I love the chorus... How romantic....

My heart's a Stereo
It beats for you so listen close
Hear my thoughts in every no-o-ote

Make me your radio
Turn me up when you feel low
This melody was meant for you
So sing along to my STEREO

AND this part as well! I LOVE IT

I only pray you never leave me behind
Because good music can be so hard to find
I take your hand and hold it closer to mine
Thought love was dead but now you're changing my mind!...

AWWWWWWHHH.... <3

Glee - Black or white

F.R.I.E.N.D.S. 'Men are here'

I love watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S. They're such a great cast, lots of chemistry, rapport blah blah blah. You know what i mean. I love all of them but i'm forced to rank my top 3 favs, the first would be Chandler M. Bing, his sarcastic remarks and humorous personality is so damned funny. 2nd Fav would be Ross Geller, his expressions never fail to make me double up with laughter. 3rd, Phoebe. She's weird yet cute in a funny way.

All in all, i really love all of them. Too bad, there's no more of F.R.I.E.N.D.S and there's not even any possibilities of them coming together for a movie. Come on! at least a thanksgiving episode?

I love this scene especially :D

Joey and Chandler enters the room with stern faces

Chandler: Men are here!
Joey: We make Fire. Cook Meat.
Chandler: Then put out fire by peeing no get invited back!

Lie to Me Korean Drama

As i said in some posts ago, i bought this new drama called Lie To Me. I got to say, i love it! Hilarious, fun, romantic and gripping. I felt that the younger brother of the male protagonist though, didn't have any opportunity in the drama to develop. I actually hoped that he might have gotten a chance or something to go somewhere to pursue his dreams or he finally finds someone he wants to go after since his brother is no longer going to 'steal' his love no more.

Although towards the end, it got kinda weird, the episode was still filled with lots of jokes and touch of romance. (duh, it's a freaking rom-com!)

The couple have rapport i gotta give them that but somehow it feels like there's a lack of 100%chemistry like Goong. Throughout the episodes, it was mainly the man angry/irritated at the woman and vice versa (which is ridiculously funny, not that i'm saying it's bad, made the whole plot very engaging).

A few were the intimate scenes like them about to kiss and being engulfed in each other's arms that sort of stuff. I wish that there would have been more dating scenes where we could see them being lovey dovey to make the overall drama fantastic as hell cause they were going through all odds to be together so seeing that 'together time' should have been reasonable.

Romance: 8.5/10
Comedy:9.5/10
Antagonists: 8.5/10
Chemistry:6.5/10
Story Plot: 9.5/10

Overall, 8.5/10

Lie To Me Korean Drama (just bought!!!)

I just bought a new drama called 'Lie To Me' starring Kang Ji-hwan and my favourite Korean actress, Yoon Eun-hye!

This is a Romantic Comedy (which i love watching) about single girl called Kong Ah-jung who just turned 30. She's never felt any pressure to get married saying that she can get married any time she wants, whenever she wants. However, something completely uncalled for happens. She meets her frenemy who stole her first love. One thing led to another and she lied that she was married to Hyun Ki-joon, a successful hotel CEO from an affluent family.

Hyun ki-joon, who is unaware of all this suddenly has a new wife names Ah-jung :) After hearing this absurd rumour, he rushes to Ah-jung and demands an explanation. However, things are later made worse and they pretend to be married for a month.

Their relationship is further complicated when Ki-joon's ex-fiancee and close friend of his brother's, Oh Yoon-joo, reappears in his life. This comical adventure of love is about to begin....

Anyways, i'm only at the 5th or 6th episode so i can't really judge how good this drama is but whatever show that stars Yoon Eun-hye is sure to move me. I've teared at a few scenes already you know :)
